Female Music Sensations in 2022

With K-pop conquering the world by storm, it's only natural that fans are wildly enjoying this popular Korean music. There are some great K-indie musicians to watch this year. Top of the game is Youra, a singer-songwriter whose calm, dreamy voice can be heard on smash songs like "Can I Love?" The musician has carved a niche for herself in the music industry and the fashion world. To illustrate, she partnered with Seoul-based street labels like As Mischief and Why Not Us. Next is Keumbee, who is well-known for her cheerful voice, and EXN, who masterfully juggles multiple music genres.

EXN: EXN, like many other breakout musicians, began her career in 2017 by uploading songs on SoundCloud. The artist has gained lots of attention for her distinct voice, which crosses the line between singing and rapping. She's also noted for her musical style, which mixes several rhythms rather than a single genre. In 2021, the 22-year-old released her debut EP, [QQQQQ]; it had six tracks, five of which posed some pertinent questions to the audience. The EP completes with the song "EXN'S ANSWER." Since the singer studied design in high school, she now writes, composes songs, and creates album covers. EXN has a pleasantly creative nature, which is why she enjoys sketching and composing music; this led to her drawing all the animation featured in her music video for "Scared Straight."

Jue: Jue is a renowned R&B singer who debuted in 2018 with her smash single, "Call Me Back." Despite the fact that she has only released singles thus far, she's already well-known for her funky tracks like"Salvia" and "Happy Ending."
